The morning of this Saturday, February 24, A serious traffic accident was recorded on the road leading to the municipality of San Juan del Cesar to the township of Cañaverales, La Guajira, leaving two dead.

The victims were identified as Leonel José Martínez, 31 years old, who was the driver of the vehicle; and Keyro Banquet Villazón37 years old, who was traveling as a companion.
According to Diario del Norte, the road accident occurred after the driver of the gray Mazda car-type vehicle with license plate DXX-289 lost control, leaving the road and hitting a tree.
The bodies of the victims, natives of the town of Los Haticoswere transferred to Legal Medicine in the municipality of Fonseca.
