Suspected leader suspected in Russia
The alleged head of the publishing house is the right-wing extremist Adrian Preißinger, who has fled abroad. The man, who was born in Kronach, Upper Franconia in 1964, is being sought with an international arrest warrant. He is believed to be in Russia, from where he continues to spread inflammatory books on the Internet. An address in Thailand is given on his website – apparently to conceal it.
Preißinger is also no stranger to the authorities in Saxony: the Dresden regional court sentenced him to three years in prison in 2002 for disseminating propaganda from unconstitutional organizations, incitement to hatred and other acts.
The publisher’s trading continues via foreign servers
LKA spokeswoman Silvaine Reiche explains that the further trade of the “Schhelm” publishing house via the Internet with inciting propaganda from Germany cannot be stopped by citing the limited legal options. “The server is not hosted by us,” Reiche told MDR SACHSEN. Therefore the authorities have no access.
According to the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, such propaganda publications “in the original and as reprints still have a special charisma and symbolic power in the right-wing extremist scene.” The Office for the Protection of the Constitution attests that the “rogue” has “particularly pronounced anti-Semitic agitation.”
The Higher Regional Court has initially scheduled nine hearing dates for the trial until mid-April. They take place in the high-security hall of the court in Dresden on Hammerweg.
