Due to Russian missile attacks on the energy system in the summer, Ukrainians will probably face blackouts and restrictions on electricity consumption. It was reported Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Energy Research Center at a briefing in Media Center Ukraine.

“We still have blackouts, and I predict that we have to prepare, – he said. — Ukrainians need to regain knowledge of where the power banks are, what they are charged with, and be prepared for the fact that there will be certain restrictions.”
The expert added that outages are likely in the second half of July and August, when the summer peak of electricity consumption falls.
“Now we are in the spring lower peak of consumption. And at the same time, there is hydropower, which can work at full capacity — a lot of water, everything is quite comfortable. In the summer, unfortunately, the situation will change,” — the expert predicts.
It will be recalled that the Russians disabled half of DTEK’s power plants with missile strikes.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi spoke at a meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief about the consequences of the occupiers’ strikes on energy facilities.
