UN, two journalists in the hands of the Taliban released

Arrested during a mission for the High Commissioner

(ANSA) – GENEVA, 11 FEB – The two journalists arrested by the Taliban in Afghanistan during their mission on behalf of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees have been released. Unhcr itself made it known in a statement: “We are relieved to confirm the release in Kabul of the two journalists appointed by UNHCR and of the Afghan citizens who work with them”. (HANDLE).
