Working group set up to draft transition agreement
The Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy Adolfo bear met the managing director of Stellar Carlos tavares in a cordial and constructive conversation that lasted 90 minutes.
The parties agreed on the need to immediately reverse the negative production trend of the last twenty years, in the belief that Italy can consolidate its industrial production pride of Made in Italy.
Minister Urso illustrated the industrial policy document on theautomotive elaborated also on the basis of discussions with the social and production partners and with the Regions where the Stellantis plants are located, in which objectives and methods are indicated for increasing production levels, expanding the range of models, investing in research and innovation, to protect employment and the entire sector chain.
The parties, sharing the objectives of the document, have set up a technical working group to reach a consensus by the end of the month “transition agreement” within the framework of a renewed European industrial policy which will have to protect domestic production and employment.
