One hundred and twenty-eight new A2A charging points in Emilia Romagna. In this way, A2A expands its charging infrastructure for electric vehicles throughout the country, strengthening its presence in Emilia Romagna as a player in the e-mobility sector.

New agreements for the diffusion of electric mobility

A2A, an Italian multi-service company operating in the environment, energy, heat and technologies for smart cities, has entered into new agreements with the Municipalities of Bentivoglio, Casalecchio di Reno, Ozzano dell’Emilia and Forlì. The Group undertakes to set up an additional 128 recharging points to serve citizens, bringing the total number of available sockets to 180 in the provinces of Bologna, Modena, Reggio Emilia and Forlì-Cesena. The installation of the new columns is part of a broader program for urban and extra-urban electric mobility that the Group led by Renato Mazzoncini will implement in Italy by 2030.

Objective: 22,000 top-up points

The ten-year strategic plan, aimed at contributing to the country’s energy transition and decarbonisation, in fact envisages investments of approximately 280 million euros for the construction of a widespread infrastructure and 22,000 charging points between ultrafast (high power) and CityPlug (low power and overnight).
A project that confirms A2A’s ability to interpret and give a concrete response to the various needs of citizens in relation to mobility, becoming a point of reference for them as well as a technological partner for local administrations and stakeholders in the automotive sector.
Thanks to the creation of an integrated system of innovative services, the Group simplifies the user experience of electric travel, accompanying people and businesses towards sustainable mobility choices that contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the use of fossil fuels.
A result made possible by the active collaboration with local authorities and communities, as happened in Brescia with the installation of low-power City Plug columns with no time limits.
