More checks on minors 21 and incentives for ‘red-flag laws’
(ANSA) – WASHINGTON, 21 JUN – A group of bipartisan US senators has unveiled a bill for a close on weapons, after the Uvalde and Buffalo massacres. If approved, it would be the first major reform since 1994.
A strengthening of background checks on arms buyers under the age of 21, funds for mental health and school safety, incentives for states that have adopted the ‘red-flag laws’ (which allow the removal of weapons from people reported as dangerous to themselves or others).
Weapons prohibited for partners involved in domestic abuse. (HANDLE).
