Vaccination against Covid, reorganized the regional plan of the Aosta Valley

by admin

AOSTA. The regional Covid-19 vaccination management system is ready to accelerate. This is mainly due to the increase in supplies that will allow us to proceed more quickly with the campaign in the coming days, increasing the administration and also involving the age group from 18 to 55 years.

Yesterday, Monday, the Covid-19 vaccination technical group took stock of the situation in light of the more than 15 thousand Aosta Valley vaccinated so far. 2,340 doses of Pfizer BioNTech will arrive in the next few days, double what is expected, and another 2,340 will be delivered next week. Another 1,170 will arrive the following week. The replenishment of 2,700 doses of AstraZeneca will also be completed by Sunday.

“This important increase in the doses that we will have available will allow us, as early as next week, to add from 4 to 6 stations and, above all, to reorganize the implementation plan of vaccinations in the name of the rapid and effective increase in infusions for the benefit of citizens “, say the Regional Health Councilor Roberto Barmasse and the Director General of the USL Angelo Pescarmona.

Vaccines from family doctors

A thousand doses will be given to eighteen general practitioners who have joined the agreement to administer the vaccines in their own clinics. The AstraZeneca inoculations will start on April 1 to patients aged between 18 and 55 without pathologies, that is the category considered most suitable to receive administration in outpatient clinics.

Reorganized the vaccination schedule

The activation of the agreement with family doctors will help to modify the general vaccination program. The regional plan will be partially reorganized. The administrations already scheduled will remain unchanged, therefore the sessions scheduled until May for citizens aged 70 to 79 and disabled in fragile conditions will not undergo any changes. On the other hand, the number of programmable sessions will be increased in order to be able to administer the anti Covid-19 vaccine as soon as possible to about 3,000 subjects who, according to the most recent national provisions, are in conditions of high fragility.

“Vaccinations do not follow a single” line “, univocal, but that based on the lists already drawn up and the availability of vaccines (by type and by indication for administration) there are multiple routes of administration”, underlines the director of the health company Pescarmona. “The vaccination implementation plan is a complex and articulated system, subject to numerous guidelines, recommendations and directives, and its application is affected by these changes. As new provisions or substantial new availability materialize, the portal is implemented without changing reservations already confirmed on the basis of the previous rules or availability “.

Answers for caregivers

On the situation of family assistants, the Aosta Valley Local Health Authority finally announces that “in agreement with the indications of the Commissioner for the emergency Gen. Figliuolo and following an initial conversation with the Department of Health, Health and Social Policies which defined a first list , will take care of the “Caregivers” reported by the associations and of the reports that will be sent to the Department of Social Policies of the Department and which will be forwarded to the Local Health Authority “.
