CAGLIARI. Sardinia exceeds 50% of the doses administered in relation to the inhabitants (50.99%), with at least one dose inoculated to 36.37% of the residents and 14.62% of the recalls. Yesterday 16,559 anti-Covid19 vaccines were carried out, passing to 814,748 administrations on Tuesday at 831,307 in the last 24 hours, i.e. 83.6% of the 994,500 delivered by the commissioner, according to the government report. Almost 100 vaccination points (between hubs and smaller centers) are now open on the island, the latest in Assemini (Metropolitan City of Cagliari) and Bosa (Oristano). Meanwhile, the Region points out that “Sardinia is still the first region for vaccination doses administered per 100 thousand inhabitants” and “instead, bookings registered through the Poste Italiane platform rise to 400 thousand”.

«Sardinia – declares the President of the Region, Christian Solinas – holds firm the objectives of the vaccination campaign and continues to accelerate, collecting the results of the strong commitment on the field. The effect of vaccinations on the epidemiological picture is now evident, but an effort by everyone is still needed to win the battle against the virus. It is essential to continue in the direction we have traced and with the adequate supply of vaccine stocks we will have no problems in reaching the goal of full immunization within the established times ».
