And for those who remain perched on their no vax positions, the same letter is an invitation to undergo the tampon every 48 hours to get the Green pass. From next Wednesday, in fact, without green certification, students and staff will not be able to access the university centers.

The rector wanted to inform the staff about the new obligations that will start from 1 September even if, at the moment, not all the knots have been resolved. «It remains to be understood – the rector always explains – who will have to carry out the checks. If as far as the students are concerned, the decree has already made it clear that we will have to organize random checks, we know nothing about the staff ». The university does not know if it will have to delegate a person to the controls or if instead it will be able to take advantage of an IT platform capable of overcoming even the barriers of privacy.

“I don’t really want to ask the staff for the Green pass every day,” confesses the rector, not without pointing out that one of the points to be clarified concerns the application of sanctions. “We know that if an employee does not have a Green pass, he has five days to comply, during which he is considered unjustified absent, while from the fifth day the employment relationship is suspended”.
The rector dwells on this point not without wondering how he will replace any suspended professors in the classroom. It will not be easy also because all universities do not have excess teachers. Also in order to better organize the start of the new academic year, the rector would need to know the nominees of the no vax staff, but even in this case privacy does not allow it.

It is the same issue that created the rift between the National Association of Principals (NPC) and the Minister of Education Bianchi, forced to clarify that schools can pay for fragile tests.
