On March 21st, at the “Einstein” high school in Teramothe most significant works among the 23 artistic installations that participated in the Teramo stage of the exhibition were awarded “Create by imagining”.
The exhibition – created by the Gran Sasso national laboratories of the INFN (National Institute of Nuclear Physics) in collaboration with CERN in Geneva and the University of Naples Federico II – is part of a cycle of 20 exhibitions held throughout Italy in ‘ scope of the 2022-2024 edition of the national project for schools “Art&Science” Across Italy.
The young people of the schools were called to give shape to the union between art and science.
More than 6,500 students from 184 secondary schools participated in the 2022-2024 edition, for the Teramo stage 70 students from Abruzzo high schools including “Mattei” Scientific High School in Vasto which was won a second and sixth place.
The “Mattei” team will participate in the national competition to be held at MANN – National Archaeological Museum of Naples on 3 and 4 May, the winners will receive a scholarship to participate in a Master’s degree at the INFN laboratories or at CERN.
