Excellent participation in the charity race this morning despite the uncertain weather

VOLPAGO. The second edition of the Translated in Pink took place this morning, the nice running event designed to finance the activities of the Treviso section of the Lilt in favor of cancer patients. In cases like these we should speak of a long pink snake, from the name of the event and the traditional color of the shirts, but this year it was not so because it was fresh and almost autumnal in the morning and the threat of bad weather, which had made the organizers fear having to cancel the event convinced many to wear sweatshirts and jackets of different colors.

The human tide for the charity initiative

The novelty of this year was also the official opening of the walk to the so-called “stronger sex” who, however, would have been given an official white t-shirt. Between photo-paintings behind the large frame, the entertainment of the speakers and the launch of ecological pink confetti, nine o’clock has arrived, time to leave for the ring circuit of about 10 kilometers in the Volpagese territory between the streets of the center, the cycle and pedestrian path created along the former railway of the Tradotta and the Bretella or “Stradon del Bosch”. Mayor Paolo Guizzo underlined the importance of Lilt’s role for cancer patients and their loved ones. “Each of us is here in memory of someone who is no longer there or who made it and to support everyone against cancer” sculpted instead the councilor Manuela Bertuola who spent a lot of money on La Tradotta in Rosa. «800 thanks» (in reference to the official number of participants according to Saturday’s data) the greeting of the councilor of the Treviso section of Lilt, Christian Rizzetto.
