The meteorological service of the Air Force for today foresees very cloudy weather in the north, in particular in the eastern sector with more frequent local rains close to the hills and on the Venetian plain, attenuating at the end of the day. Clear or partly cloudy elsewhere with local thickening near the reliefs with weak and isolated afternoon rainfall, but attenuating.
Campania, the Civil Protection extends the alert until Monday 19 July
Cloudy weather over the Marche, Abruzzo and eastern Umbria with diffuse rains gradually diminishing in the afternoon; clear or partially cloudy in the remaining areas of the center but with cloudiness increasing during the day with local afternoon showers, also with a thunderstorm character, over Tuscany, western Umbria and Lazio, dissolving in the evening with bright spells.
In the south and in Sicily the sky for today will be very cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms that will be more frequent and persistent even intense in northern Sicily and Calabria, gradually attenuating from the evening.
The civil protection of the Campania Region has extended the weather alert with yellow hydrogeological criticalities already in force throughout Campania for rains and thunderstorms until 11.59 pm tomorrow, Monday 19 July.

On Monday, rains and thunderstorms will continue to persist in the southern regions, especially in the central hours, with phenomena running out in the evening. Sunny in the north and in the center. Then from Tuesday a more stable and warm phase will begin and the sun will gradually return to shine on the peninsula, as the fresh air mass slips towards the south.
On Monday the depressionary circulation and the fresh and unstable air mass will still persist in the South – say the meteorologists of iconameteo.it -, while starting from Tuesday the return to a more stable period of time is confirmed for all thanks to the comeback of the high pressure. This more turbulent phase is also characterized by a greater and more temperate northern ventilation, mainly from the Mistral, which accompanies the vortex in its slide towards the southeast along our Peninsula.
