Wind, heavy storms and snow are coming: weather alert on Fvg

by admin

UDINE. The regional civil protection issued the weather alert from 8 on Monday 12 April until 12 on Tuesday 13 due to hydrogeological risk with heavy rains and thunderstorms.

THE FORECASTS FOR THE NEXT DAYS

The cause of the bad weather is an evolving depression between Great Britain and the North Sea, which pushes gradually wetter and milder southwestern currents towards northern Italy.

THE WEATHER ALERT OF CIVIL PROTECTION

In particular, widespread rains are expected for Monday 12, from abundant to intense, including thunderstorms, very intense in the Prealps, more moderate in the Tarvisio area and on the coast.

The snow level will be between 1700 and 2000 m approximately. Moderate Scirocco will blow in the plains, sustained on the coast. From the evening the snow level will be rapidly decreasing to below 1000 meters.

On Tuesday 13th at night and in the morning, residual precipitations are expected, including thunderstorms, generally abundant with snow levels around 500 meters.

Strong winds from the north or north-east will blow, temporarily even strong on the coast and at high altitudes. From the afternoon, precipitation and wind will tend to diminish.
