The 50th anniversary of the birth of Doctors without borders (MSF) is an opportunity to retrace decades of collaborations between the humanitarian organization – Nobel Peace Prize winner – and the historic Magnum photo agency. Their paths have often met in the same scenarios: war zones, humanitarian crises, emergencies. Enrambe tried to act as amplifiers to let the world know about the most difficult and forgotten situations.
On 2 October, on the occasion of the Internazionale festival, it will be possible to take part in a guided tour of the exhibition Look over. Twenty photographs from the Magnum archives tell the main humanitarian crises from 1971 to today. With photographs by Abbas Attar, Hiroji Kubota, Raymond Depardon, Chris Steele Perkins, Stuart Franklin, Gilles Peress, Paolo Pellegrin, Cristina Garcia Rodero, Thomas Dworzak, Jerome Sessini, Lorenzo Meloni, Moises Saman and Enri Canaj. The exhibition is in piazza Trento e Trieste from 1 to 10 October. Furthermore, on October 1st, at the Apollo 2 cinema, a meeting will reflect on the power of photography as an instrument of testimony and denunciation, but also as a means of expression.
