Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Chongqing to investigate and learn about burden reduction at the grassroots level.

During his visit from April 22 to 23, Xi Jinping visited various locations in Chongqing to understand the local efforts in accelerating the construction of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, urban renewal, improvement of people’s livelihood, and modernization of urban governance.

In particular, Xi Jinping visited the Democratic Village Community of Xiejiawan Street in Jiulongpo District to learn about the reduction of burdens at the grassroots level. He interacted with community cadres and residents to understand the services provided, the treatment of community cadres, and the workload they face.
