In response to the tragic incident, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, issued important instructions, emphasizing the need to prioritize the treatment of the injured and provide support to the families of the victims. Jinping also stressed the importance of identifying the cause of the accident, holding those responsible accountable, and taking steps to prevent similar safety accidents in the future. Li Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, also issued instructions calling for the organization of search and rescue efforts, treatment of the injured, and minimizing casualties. Qiang emphasized the need to identify the cause of the accident promptly and hold those responsible accountable under the law.
Following these instructions, Zhang Guoqing, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, along with relevant department leaders, have been at the scene of the incident to guide the handling of the situation. Additionally, both Jiangxi Province and Xinyu City have mobilized efforts to carry out rescue, treatment, and aftermath work.
