Southeast Net, July 2nd (Straits Herald reporter Yang Xiaohui) On the evening of July 1st, the Xiamen Alumni Economic Development Summit Forum was successfully held at the Xiamen International Conference Center. The forum invited alumni experts to give keynote speeches on topics related to technological trends and industrial integration, bringing wonderful cutting-edge knowledge sharing to the participants.
As part of the series of activities for the launch of the “Building Pillars” plan and the establishment of the Xiamen Alumni Economic Alliance, this forum is co-hosted by the Xiamen Municipal People’s Government and Xiamen University. A high-end exchange and cooperation platform, empowers urban innovation, strengthens development drive, and boosts the high-quality development of Xiamen with the high-quality development of the alumni economy.
Alumni of Xiamen University, Academician of the National Academy of Engineering, Chairman and CEO of The Force Life Sun Yongkui, Alumni of Zhejiang University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academic Director of the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences Zhu Yongguan, alumni of Peking University and Wuhan University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuhan University Xu Hongxing, dean of the School of Microelectronics, and Zhou Hongyi, an alumnus of Xi’an Jiaotong University, founder, chairman and CEO of 360 Company, delivered wonderful keynote speeches on China’s innovative drugs, urban green development, optoelectronic technology and intelligent manufacturing, and digital security.
Cui Yonghui, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee, Zhang Rong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xiamen University, and leaders of Xiamen City, Huang Wenhui, Yang Guohao, Wei Keliang, Zhang Yigong, Li Huiyue, and Huang Xiaozhou attended the forum. The forum was chaired by Huang Xiaozhou.

After introducing Xiamen’s social and economic development in detail to the alumni and guests, Huang Wenhui said that at present, Xiamen is implementing the strategic plan to take the lead in realizing socialist modernization. The alumni economy gives full play to the advantages of emotional bonds between alumni, and also facilitates the communication and integration of different disciplines in different fields to achieve interdisciplinary advantages, making promotion projects and investment projects more stable and efficient. We plan to set up a microelectronics research institute in Xiamen. By integrating various resources of alumni, consolidating the strength of alumni, and concentrating on breakthroughs in semiconductors, materials, etc., such as conquering neck technology, developing 5G and 6G filters; In the direction of pressure sensor Mens in the field of automobiles and other fields, breakthroughs can be made to complete independent replacement; and in the application of silicon carbide materials, we can concentrate our efforts and make multiple breakthroughs.
Through the matchmaking of Wuhan University Xiamen Alumni Association, we are negotiating with Xiamen University to discuss how this microelectronics research institute will be implemented and in-depth cooperation.

I think Xiamen’s 4+4+6 industrial layout is very forward-looking and has a very good foundation. This has a common point, that is, “digitalization” is used as the support for the transformation and upgrading of the entire industry. This is not only a national strategy, but also a key point for the transformation of new kinetic energy for innovation and development. How to do a good job of safety barriers in the process of digitization is very important. For example, many units themselves are not professional in digital security. In the process of digitization, they have to set up a digital clinic by themselves, and it is unrealistic to solve many security problems by themselves.
360 will build a digital “safety hospital” in Xiamen, providing a complete set of security services to Xiamen’s committees, offices, bureaus, industrial and mining enterprises – providing long-term threat detection, risk prediction, emergency response and other security services.
