On December 30th, Yin Li, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, had a discussion with representatives of film artists attending the 34th China Golden Rooster Awards Ceremony and the closing ceremony of the 2021 China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival. The spirit of important speeches at the opening ceremony of the 10th National Congress of the Chinese Writers Association and the Chinese Writers Association, jointly explored the further telling of the Chinese story and the Fujian story, and let more literary and artistic works go out. Li Yi, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles attended the meeting.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, Fujian’s total economic output has surpassed three trillion yuan, providing a solid material foundation for the prosperity and development of literary and artistic undertakings. Fujian has unique geographical advantages and profound historical and cultural heritage. Xiamen is also a poetic, energetic, romantic and warm city, providing a broad stage for the majority of literary and art workers. Literature and art are the clarion call of the times. Film, as a comprehensive art form, can show the spirit of the times, inspire national spiritual strength, and enrich the spiritual life of the people. The Golden Rooster Award has been successfully held for three consecutive times in Xiamen, and its influence continues to expand and its driving force continues to increase, which has played an important role in promoting the development of the film art industry. Fujian is striving to develop the cultural tourism economy, explore rich cultural resources, deepen cross-strait cultural exchanges, create a Fujian cultural identification system, and promote the prosperity and development of Fujian culture. I hope that all artists will pay more attention to Fujian and Xiamen, carry forward the fine tradition of upwards and benevolent, uphold integrity, innovate, intensively cultivate and lively show the bones, morals, and warm things, and tell Chinese stories well. Fujian story, tell the story of the integration and development of the two sides of the strait, and promote more outstanding works to go out and into the world.
On behalf of the film artists, Li Yi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Fujian and Xiamen for their strong support to the Chinese film industry. He said–
Fujian and Xiamen have a gathering of humanities, a strong literary atmosphere, and a rich source of creation. In recent years, the Golden Rooster Awards have been run better than ever, and each time it has become more exciting. The China Federation of Literary and Art Circles will earnestly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech, always adhere to the people-centered approach, unite and gather more literary and art workers, go deep into life, take root in the people, create fine works, and fully present the spirit of the new era in a panoramic view.
Representatives of film artists such as Chen Daoming, Li Xuejian, Wang Xiaotang, Ding Xiaonan, Zhang Yimou, Huang Jianxin, Xiao Guiyun, Wang Xingdong, Wang Chen, Yao Chen, and provincial leaders Zhang Yan, Cui Yonghui, Wu Kailin, Liang Jianyong, Zheng Jianmin, and Liu Xianxiang attended the forum.
