SV Wehen Wiesbaden has drawn conclusions from the downward trend of the past few weeks and released coach Markus Kauczinski. Now the assistant coaches are taking over in the relegation battle.

Markus Kauczinski is no longer the coach of SV Wehen Wiesbaden. The coach was released on Sunday after the 3:5 home defeat against Greuther Fürth. The club announced this on Sunday evening. Assistant coaches Nils Döring and Giuliano Modica will take over until further notice.

“In the fight to stay in the league, we have come to the conclusion that we will not achieve our goals in this constellation and that the team needs new impetus for the last games,” SVWW managing director Nico Schäfer was quoted as saying in a statement from the club.
