Blue parquet, green seats and a relaxed, almost living room atmosphere. This is how Palaverde presents itself at its debut in the 2021/22 season, in the first home game of the Super Cup. The public is certainly not that of great occasions: of the 1900 seats available, only 563 were sold in advance or booked by the consortium members, that is to say 30% of the theoretical possibility of entry. There is even a representation of the Irriducibili, the hottest fringe of the Brescia supporters, to sing some chorus of encouragement for the visiting team.
On the other hand, I Fioi dea Sud are missing, the curve is practically deserted and there is an almost friendly atmosphere rather than an official match: “It will go better with the qualification phase for the Bcl – this is the optimistic forecast of Ruggero Miano, historical supporter who embodies the old guard of the fans – I think it is normal to see a little less people on these occasions, for the derby with Reyer on 3 October there will be a different atmosphere. The team seems to me well built, with substance, with a good dose of character guaranteed by coach Menetti.
