AC Milan-Turin Giroud decides The Rossoneri are alone in the lead

Pioli’s team gets three points above Napoli who will challenge Bologna tomorrow. The grenades play well but do not materialize. The crossbar stops Praet in the final

A lackluster Milan put Giroud’s initial goal to good use and, after a match of almost exclusive management of the result, folded an excellent Turin to take the lead, waiting for Napoli’s home match scheduled for tomorrow. It took little to direct the match on a welcome path because at the first opportunity, as in Bologna last Saturday, Milan passes: at 14 ‘Krunic spits with his head on a corner kick and serves Giroud, stationed one meter away from the goal, a simple ball to push into the net.

So immediately uphill for Turin, already weighed down by two admonitions (Buongiorno and Singo) after only twenty minutes. The grenades, however, react well and on 26 ‘build a good opportunity: Singo goes away on the right and crosses for Belotti, who does not find the right deviation in the center of the area.

Singo is the most enterprising of the guests and forces Kalulu to a yellow card. Race rather tactically blocked, many clashes in the median and few occasions but just at the sunset of the first half Krunic almost doubled with a header. We start again with Toro in search of a draw: at 51 ‘Belotti, invited to shoot by Linetty, throttles the conclusion and immediately gives way to Sanabria. Milan, perhaps a little tired due to the many close matches, limits themselves to defending (especially Tomori well) and leaves only Giroud forward. At 64 ‘Pioli tries to give his team some energy by inserting Bakayoko and Bennacer in place of Tonali (determined but not very inspired in construction) and Krunic.

The move wakes up Milan who, while continuing not to shine, are starting to show up again, especially with Leao. In the 75th minute, however, Toro was very close to scoring: a defensive defensive streak fired up Brekalo serving Sanabria in the middle of the area on which Tatarusanu (hitherto idle until then) was good at saving.

It’s time to play everything for Juric: in the 79th minute inside Zaza and Toro with two strikers. Grenade still insidious in the 84th minute Praet splinters the crossbar with the goalkeeper beaten. It is the last chance, Milan manages the final by unraveling some scrum well in their area. –
