Erling Braut Haaland has been injured. But on Friday night – two days before the league match against Nottingham Forest – he trains again.

Because with the text “good Friday”, Manchester City shares the image of the ice bow, which has been out of action for just over a week.

The response in the comments section is not to be misunderstood: the fans seem hopeful that the Norwegian striker is back in a very important period of the season.

There has been some confusion about whether Haaland’s injury has been serious.

Those who follow the club most closely have stated that the situation “has been disturbing”.

It started when the 23-year-old asked to be replaced in the Champions League exit against Real Madrid on 17 April.

City manager Pep Guardiola explained that it was a muscle injury.

Since then, Haaland has missed the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea last weekend, sat out the team’s training sessions and the league match against Brighton on Thursday night.

After the Brighton match, manager Pep Guardiola suggested that Haaland could be back in action next weekend:

– He said he feels better, but I don’t know (if he will make it), the manager told VG.

But now Haaland seems to be on the road to recovery. On Sunday, Nottingham Forest awaits away at the City Ground. That match starts at 17:30 and can be seen on Viaplay.
