In Waregem, in the last test before Flanders, the Dutchman of Ineos-Grenadiers prevails. Among the women Van Vleuten wins, Guazzini is fourth
The Dutch you don’t expect. Ineos Grenadiers’ 28-year-old Dylan Van Baarle won the Dwaars Door Vlaanderen, 184km from Roeselare to Waregem, with a 52km solitary winning escape. For Van Baarle this is the fifth success as a professional. Bettiol did not leave (fever), while Elia Viviani was forced to retire due to a fall (about 60 km from the end), who went to Renaix hospital for checks. Behind Van Baarle, about thirty seconds, was the French Laporte who set the first pursuers. The world champion Alaphilippe and Van der Poel made their leg ahead of Flanders on Sunday. No Italians in the top 10.
