Apple CEO Tim Cook Shows Support for Chinese Women’s National Rugby Team
On the morning of March 23rd, Beijing time, Apple CEO Tim Cook paid a special visit to the Beijing Olympic Center training hall to show his support for the Chinese women’s national rugby team. Cook watched the team’s training session, interacted with the players, and wished them success in their journey to the Paris Olympics.
Amidst cheers and passionate music, Cook arrived at the training ground of the Chinese women’s football team. Captain Chen Keyi took the opportunity to introduce Cook to the team and provided an overview of their training techniques. The team’s physical coach also shared some tips with Cook on core muscle exercises. After observing the training session, Cook took a group photo with the players and expressed his hope that the team would excel in the Olympic qualifying round.
According to captain Chen Keyi, the recent challenge match in Uruguay presented some difficulties for the team due to the time difference. Despite the challenges of a long flight and minimal rest upon arrival, the team managed to adjust well and perform admirably in the competition.
Looking ahead, Chen Keyi remains optimistic about the team’s chances of qualifying for the Paris Olympics. She mentioned the upcoming training sessions in Nanjing and participation in the World Challenge in Poland as key steps towards achieving their goal. The team will also be gearing up for the qualifying round of the seven-a-side rugby event in June, where they will face stiff competition for a spot in the Olympics.
As the Chinese women’s national rugby team continues their rigorous training and prepares for upcoming competitions, they are fueled by the support and encouragement from figures like Tim Cook, who took the time to show his solidarity with the team during his visit to Beijing.
