Milan, 21 December 2021 – The nightmare Coronavirus returns to appear in the Serie A basketball championship: l’Armani AX Milano, who just yesterday announced the serious injuries that occurred to Sergio Rodriguez and Luigi Datome, announced today that, at the end of a round of tampons to which the team group underwent, emerged six cases of positivity to Covid-19. An outbreak that prompted the Milan ATS to intervene, to suspend the team’s sporting activity and to place the entire red and white group in home quarantine at least until next December 27, when a new round of control swabs will be carried out.
The matches against Zalgiris and Virtus Bologna are skipped
Milan will thus be forced to at least skip the Euroleague match originally scheduled for tomorrow night in the home of the Zalgiris Kaunas, but also the “Big match” of the championship against Virtus Segafredo Bologna that it should have been played on Boxing Day and that it would have been broadcast on Rai 2.
