Fuel cell vehicles are a relatively mature application in the hydrogen energy industry. After more than ten years of cultivation, the fuel cell vehicle industry in Beijing has established a sound industrial foundation. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration consists of 7 districts including Daxing District and Changping District in Beijing, Tianjin Binhai New District, Tangshan City and Baoding City in Hebei Province, Binzhou City and Zibo City in Shandong Province, etc. Urban agglomerations were formally approved as the first batch of national demonstration urban agglomerations in August this year. During the four-year demonstration period, the state will adopt the method of “reward for compensation”, and rewards will be given in accordance with the completion of mission objectives of the demonstration city group.
Beijing will firmly seize the opportunity of the construction of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei fuel cell vehicle demonstration city cluster, fight for the R&D and innovation of fuel cell vehicles, build a coordinated, independent and controllable industrial system across the chain, and strive for the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan Realize the scale of 10,000 cars. According to Wang Feng, a fuel cell system engineer, hydrogen enters the engine through a pipeline from the hydrogen storage system, and undergoes an electrochemical reaction with air. The generated electrical energy can directly provide kinetic energy to the vehicle, and can also charge the power battery.
