The Genoese spiker comes from Portomaggiore (a club from Ferrara that will be among the future opponents of the Belluno Volleyball) and was the first player to sign with the team of the Belluno capital, newly promoted from Serie B. Class 1991, 193 cm high, curriculum of everything respect, he also boasts a promotion from A2 to Superlega with the shirt of Siena. His experience in the leagues from the A3 series upwards will be extremely useful to the Belluno club.
For a lateral who arrives, one who leaves. In fact, the Paduan spiker Nicolò Seveglievich, who joined the team exactly one year ago, will not be present in the 2021-22 squad by Da Rold Logistics. For the player born in 1996 from Camposampiero, Padua Volleyball School, the doors of a Serie A2 club should be opened. Yesterday, the patron of Volleyball Belluno was still in the Emilian capital, but sitting next to the presidents of all the Italian Serie A clubs male. Just a few hours earlier, on Monday, the commission in charge had formalized the admission of Da Rold Logistics to the next men’s A3 championship.
What effect did it have on you to sit among the presidents of the Serie A clubs? But above all, what effect does having brought Serie A back to Belluno?
«We jumped through hoops to arrive in time to complete all the steps necessary to register for A3, including the establishment of a new company. Now here we are: we sit in all respects in the assembly of Serie A, which includes the Superlega, A2 and A3 clubs, and we have the same right to vote, for example, as clubs like Perugia or Macerata ».
Beyond the renewal of the top management, what emerged from this first assembly?
«It emerged that there is and will be a lot of interest in this sport and that the Lega intends to acquire the TV rights to broadcast the Serie A matches, not just Superlega. In short, there will be a lot of visibility, for us and for our reality, and this can only please us ».
At what moment, in the past few days, have you started to breathe a sigh of relief and feel really certain about enrolling in the next A3 championship?
“I would say that the moment we took our breath away was last Friday, when we saw that, between registration fees, sureties, joint stock companies and organization chart, we had really managed to do it. At that moment we thought: we did it. And now we are already projected to the championship, which will start on 10 October ».
Now that the Volleyball League has certified the admission of the Belluno Volleyball to the next Serie A, what are your goals for the new season?
“Now that we are in Serie A, the idea is to play a first championship of verification, so to speak: a championship, I mean, in which to try first of all to understand what the level of the opponents is, and then ‘force the hand ‘the following year and try to go further. But this first year will also and above all serve to adequately structure the company. The team is there. We are closing the last agreements with the latest players and we will soon have defined the staff for next season ».
