Registration for A1, the playing field for 2021-22 (Casale, except for surprises) and individual interviews with the players. To compose the roster and then throw itself on the market, Bertram must decide whether to adopt the 5 + 5 formula (five foreigners and five Italians) or 6 + 6 by paying the luxury tax. In light of the patron’s contagious enthusiasm, it is conceivable that an enlarged squad is the most plausible hypothesis. Meanwhile, the boys are enjoying a fabulous holiday on the main sponsor’s private yacht thanks to the bet won before the clock phase (made on the occasion of a day at the Bagietto shipyards, La Spezia), with the hospitality on the boat of Gavio as a prize in event of final victory. Then in the next few days the talks with the players will start, from those who have another year of contract to those who had an annual agreement (like Cannon).
“After a few days of vacation with a cold head, it is right to talk to everyone to leave or leave again,” says Bartocci. Bertram will also make use of the market consultancy of Gianmaria Vacirca, a native of the Tortona area, with experience as a dg in Capo d’Orlando and Montegranaro. The playing field will almost certainly be Casale Monferrato, but the PalaOltrepo di Voghera will not be completely abandoned. «We are defining the issues to play the season in Casale, Voghera will no longer be our parquet, but an important collaboration has opened with Olympia, we want to maintain and consolidate the relationship. The idea is to use the PalaOltrepo for the youth teams. The plant has air conditioning, it will also serve the first team ». –
