News on the bench of the men’s D team: it will be led by Giulio Pasteris President Machieraldo explains the plans for next season

There are many news at Borgofranco volley, a militant club in men’s Serie D, in which Covid-19 has not had a great impact on the loss of members, as explained by the president Patrizia Machieraldo: “Last year we had registered a hundred players, from first team to the whole youth sector – says Machieraldo, while this year I save a couple of athletes who, not being vaccinated and consequently not having the Green pass, have decided to embrace other sports. We accepted this choice of theirs and at the same time our goal was to further grow the whole company and for this reason we joined forces with the Pgs Foglizzese (which this year has renounced the women’s Serie D championship and is only doing youth, both male and female, ed) and this year we will start in Serie D – says Machieraldo – with a new technician: no longer Elena Nicoletta, who will remain in the company anyway and will cover the role of technical director, but Giulio Pasteris, soul of the Pgs Foglizzese. Pasteris will be assisted by Marco Ribotta and Alberto Ponte, who will start the preparation of the Serie D championship tomorrow, Thursday 26th August, while on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th August they will retire with the team in Valtournenche ».
The president Machieraldo then also rattles off a very important project concerning part of the youth sector of the two Canavese realities: “Pasteris, Ribotta and Ponte will also be involved in the development of a project that concerns our under-19 men: the under 19 of the Borgofranco volley and the under 19 of the Pgs Foglizzese will be united in a single under, which will play its own internal matches in Foglizzo (this team will also retire in the Valle d’Aosta land in Valtournenche on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 August) and part of these boys will also be part of the D series and the Uisp team that we will set up – says president Machieraldo -. Always remaining in the youth sector, we have defined almost all the new coaches for next season: starting from the men’s under 13 we will have Daniele Mantovani and Martina Zapparata, in the women’s under 14 the former coach of Canavese Ivrea volley will be with us Alessandra Bensa. Another coach from Canavese Ivrea volley has also arrived, Cinzia Perotti (assisted by Stefano Blanchetti) as regards the male under 17, while the under 17 Uisp will be entrusted to Gabriele Bensa. Finally, the women’s First Division will be managed again by Rossano Soncin, while the situation regarding the minivolley sector is still to be defined, which in any case we intend to do, but first we will have to understand how to operate with the new anti Covid-19 rules “. –
