Despite the poor starting position, Sebastian Kehl believes in Dortmund’s championship title. The BVB sports director taunts FC Bayern and sees Munich as an advantage in one point.

The 5-2 win over Mönchengladbach brought Borussia back up to a point behind Munich. Two days before the end of the season, the fight for the championship is more open than it has been for years.
BVB have to win their games in Augsburg and against Mainz and at the same time hope for Bayern to slip up against Leipzig or Cologne. Despite the poor starting position, BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl believes in the first championship title since 2012 and teases Bayern. “I think Bayern are thinking more. Bayern are now in a situation that is relatively unfamiliar to them, ”said Kehl on Sky. The Munich team could now “lose more than they can win,” Kehl added: “That’s why I currently see our situation as a hunter rather positively. I think we’ll win both games and then we’ll see what Bayern do.”
Above all, Kehl hopes that Bayern will not win in the upcoming home game against Leipzig, who still need points for the Champions League qualification. “We are in a very good situation. But in the end we have to hope that Bayern leave something behind,” said Kehl. The team is now much more resilient and can handle the pressure very well: “Now we can keep the pressure on Bayern Munich higher than we have been in many years.”
Kehl sees game day termination as a disadvantage
As in the past two matchdays, it will be difficult for BVB to put pressure on Bayern. Munich submit on Saturday, Dortmund only play on Sunday. Since last season, the games of the 33rd matchday have not been played at the same time on Saturday.
