The Chinese League One to Kick Off Professional Season Tomorrow with Focus on Self-Promotion

Tianjin Daily News (Reporter Gu Ying) – After the successful start of the Chinese Super League last week, anticipation is high for the new season of the Chinese League One set to kick off tomorrow. The opening ceremony will take place at the Pingguo City Guojing Stadium, home to the Guangxi Pingguo Halong team, with the opening match seeing Pingguo Halong face off against Jiangxi Liansheng. Similar to the Chinese Super League, the Chinese League One will feature 16 teams and is scheduled to conclude on November 2.

In contrast to the understated opening ceremony of the Chinese Super League held in Shanghai earlier this season, the local community in Guangxi is placing significant importance on hosting the opening ceremony of the Chinese League One in 2024. A special meeting was convened on March 6 by relevant departments in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Baise to discuss the preparations for the ceremony. Organizers are using the event as an opportunity to showcase Guangxi’s stunning landscapes and rich ethnic minority customs. Yesterday, the Guangxi Pingguo Halong Club held a departure ceremony for the new season and arranged various warm-up activities in and around the stadium.

Despite the current challenges faced by Chinese football and professional leagues, there are positive signs of recovery in the league, garnering increasing attention from fans across the country. League clubs are exploring avenues for innovation and growth, with Nantong Zhiyun Club, for instance, planning to host an electronic music party in the stands during their home game in the second round of the Chinese Super League starting today. The aim is to inject energy and appeal to the matchday experience, drawing in a younger demographic to attend matches.

As the Chinese League One prepares to commence its professional season, all eyes are on the exciting developments and strategies being implemented to promote the league and engage fans in new and creative ways.
