Coach Xiaode speaks out for the first time after the “breakup” – Entertainment – China Engineering Network

Coach Xiaode, also known as Djokovic, recently made headlines after parting ways with his long-time coach Ivanisevic. In an exclusive interview with Tianjin Daily News, Ivanisevic finally opened up about the reasons behind the unexpected “breakup.”

Attributing the split to fatigue, Ivanisevic revealed that the past five years had been incredibly taxing and intense, with various challenges and disruptions along the way. “The cooperation between us has indeed reached a certain degree of saturation. I like to call it ‘material fatigue.’ No matter from which perspective, I feel that I can no longer help him,” he stated.

The coach admitted that he began to sense the partnership coming to an end during last year’s US Open, with the decision to part ways this year being a mutual and amicable one. Despite the separation, Ivanisevic emphasized that Djokovic’s next coach should be someone who knows him well and understands his game.

“I don’t know how long he plans to play. The most perfect coach candidate for him at the moment is Zimonjic. He knows Djokovic very well,” Ivanisevic said.

As Djokovic navigates this new chapter in his career, fans are left wondering how this change will impact his performance on the court. Only time will tell if Zimonjic will be able to take Djokovic to even greater heights in the world of tennis.
