García hit his first home run in 2021 and has since established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the league. He joins the likes of Yordan Álvarez and José Canseco as one of the fastest Cuban hitters to reach 100 home runs, achieving the feat in just 481 games.
The Cuban outfielder’s journey to the Majors was not an easy one, having played in the Caribbean Series and in Japanese baseball before ultimately signing with the Cardinals in 2017. It wasn’t until he joined the Rangers in 2020 that García began to shine, recording impressive stats in his rookie year and helping the team win the World Series championship in 2023.
