Bruce Springsteen Signs School Receipt for Fan Who Skipped School to Attend Concert

Bruce Springsteen, known as “The Boss,” made headlines during his recent concert at the Chase Center in San Francisco on March 31. A young fan caught his attention with a sign that read, “I missed school, can you sign my receipt?” Springsteen knelt down and signed the receipt, much to the delight of the fan and the crowd. A post about the incident by Karen Pitcher Scovell quickly went viral on Facebook.

Fans are now eagerly waiting to see if the school will accept the signed receipt from the legendary musician. The concert also marked Springsteen’s return to the stage after postponing shows in 2023 due to health concerns related to treatment for a peptic ulcer.

In addition to the heartwarming interaction with the young fan, Springsteen opened the show with a performance of “Light Of Day,” a song he hadn’t played on his current tour before. He is expected to continue his 2024 tour with shows in the United Kingdom and Ireland this summer. Furthermore, a compilation of his hits titled “Best Of Bruce Springsteen” is set to be released on April 19.

Meanwhile, plans are underway for a film about Springsteen’s 1982 album “Nebraska,” with actor Jeremy Allen White reportedly being considered for the lead role. The film will be based on the book “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska,” which delves into the creation of the album that preceded his iconic “Born in the USA.” Springsteen is said to be involved in the production of the film, which will be produced by A24, known for their critically acclaimed works.
