A group of 24 people including 20 athletes is arriving from Turkey. They will be based in L’Aquila and will participate in the races on the calendar
The athletes of the Ukrainian national cycling teams will make base camp in Italy from tomorrow. At 5.45 pm they will arrive at Fiumicino airport with a flight from Turkey where they were engaged in a training camp at the time of the outbreak of the war. The president of the Italian Federation Cordiano Dagnoni will welcome the group of 25 people including 20 athletes.

Ukrainian athletes and technicians will stay in Italy, in L’Aquila, until they can return to their own country. The athletes of the Elite Women, U23 Women, Under 23, Elite and Juniores categories are part of the group. In Italy they will be able to train and participate in the races on the calendar, also thanks to the help of the Abruzzese companies and the whole world of Italian cycling, which immediately mobilized to help their Ukrainian colleagues.
