“Well, maybe we didn’t expect such a departure. But I was convinced of our strength and consequently I placed and put great trust in the boys. We are going on the pitch with the right desire and determination, on Sunday we were able to overturn the result despite some adverse episodes. We came from a performance in which we did not express ourselves to the maximum and we reacted in the right way ».
The strength of the group there at the Schiara is talked about almost everywhere.
«We are counting on some young people from the historical group who help the others to fit in. It is normal for us to be all together at the end of the meeting, singing our choirs sung by Reveane and Cattaruzza… Even at the management level I notice more and more unity, we all work at our best and with the desire to have fun ».
In the First Category, however, a certain professionalism is also needed.
«We noticed this, compared to, for example, when we were disputing the Third. I am thinking of the three weekly training sessions, the care of clothing and all of that ».
What are the next steps to grow?
«To continue to carry on our small youth sector, where we count on about fifty members between Esordienti, Pulcini and Primi Calci. It is not easy, as parents would always like to take their children to larger neighboring societies. That is why we hope to be able to dialogue constructively with these realities ».
But back to the first team, what is the goal? Salvation or … something more?
«Maintain the category, no doubt. Then we gladly accept the additions, as they say in these cases. The important thing is that everyone is comfortable within the environment. Some grumbling will come sooner or later, it is normal. We will have to be good at filing it ».
You are president of Schiara and… a fan of the Belluno Dolomites.
«In recent years I have often followed the Belluno, because I have a strong friendship with Simone Corbanese and his family. Even the San Giorgio Sedico I went to see it, while maybe I knew less about Union Feltre, but I read the events in the newspaper ».
How did you see the union of the three companies?
“In a positive way, to be honest. Of course, good results must arrive so that everything goes for the best, otherwise the risk of discontent is always run. However, the team is there, perhaps it lacks a bit of amalgam. However, the results will come ».
But didn’t “Geki” De Cian try to bring you into society?
«He actually made a few jokes (laughs, editor’s note). But I have a yellow and black heart and first of all comes the Schiara. He also wants me to take a season ticket, but I told him that if they play a lot of matches on Saturdays, maybe it’s cheaper for them to buy the ticket from time to time ».
By the way, as you just said, De Min and Schiara is a consolidated relationship over time.
«I think I have the record for goals with the club, but you can see if I write this. For sure I have always played there, with the exception of a championship at San Giorgio. Then following the knee injury I went to cover the role of sporting director. There was a phase in which I went out, then a few years ago Carlo Cassol was able to struggle to involve me again. I have decided to return on tiptoe, even if now I have been entrusted with the office of president ».
Who would you take from the Dolomites for your Schiara?
“Well, Corbanese no doubt. I am delighted when I hear good things about him, because I know him and know what he is worth. He is a real leader. After which point on Gjoshi, who started right from us. But I’m waiting for them for the last year of their career, now they need them for the Dolomites ».
Where will Schiara and Dolomiti Bellunesi arrive at the end of the year?
«The Dolomites will do well, I think there are many players who can give a lot. As for Schiara… I avail myself of the right not to answer ».
