Foot race scheduled for Sabaro next to Borgofranco. The event is organized by Gray Wolf, an amateur sports association, in collaboration with the Uisp committee of Ivrea and Canavese and with the patronage of the Municipality of Borgofranco d’Ivrea. The race is included in the program of the twenty-first Uisp mountain-trail running circuit in Canavese.
The start and finish of the race will be located at the Balmetti, in San Germano di Borgofranco d’Ivrea.
The event includes two races with different distances: a test of twenty kilometers with 1000 meters of altitude difference: the start is scheduled at 9.30. Then there is a second, shorter and less demanding test, over a distance of 12 kilometers and with a difference in altitude of 500 meters. In this case the departure is scheduled for 10 am.
There will also be a non-competitive 7-kilometer route where everyone can choose whether to run, walk or stroll.
The objective of the event, say the organizers of the Gray Wolf, is to be able to create a collaboration between the various local associations with the aim of contributing to enhancing a little-exploited part of the territory that instead offers landscapes of truly special beauty.
At the end of the event there will be a big party on arrival with catering from Farinel. Prizes are foreseen for the first three absolute men and women of the 20 km and 12 km. –
