Elachem Vigevano met in full yesterday at 17 for the first training session in view of the next season in Serie B. The session was introduced by a brief welcome speech by the vice president Marino Spaccasassi and a welcome speech by the president Donatella Rizzi. After the word, it immediately passed to coach Paolo Piazza who started the first training session of the new season.
Already this week the vice president announced that this year’s seasonal goal will be the conquest of the playoffs, in which the Vigevano basketball team has always participated in recent years. This year’s Elachem Vigevano is a mix between last season’s team and some new additions that have arrived under the Bramante tower in the summer market. Captain Filippo Rossi and long Gianluca Giorgi, Nicolò Gatti and Raffaele Rosa have been reconfirmed. In the external department it is also worth noting the return of Alessandro Ferri, who was a decisive player in the final won in C1, who brought Vigevano back to Serie B after many years of absence. Among the arrivals there is also Jacopo Mercante, a long-courted player who has finally landed in via Carducci. To complete the external department there will be Michele Peroni, while the role of playmaker will be entrusted to Alessandro Procacci. Vladyslav Radchenko will embellish the long section instead. A large group of young people, some of whom have already made their debut in Serie B, will complete the squad instead.
Last season they played with the yellow and blue jersey Victor Khant and Nicolò Tagliavini, while in their absolute debut there are Francesco Spaccasassi and Cristian Lion. Among the novelties to report the arrival of a club manager, a new role, which will be held by Giuseppe Della Noce, who will have the task of maintaining relations between the technical staff and the club. He is a manager with important experiences behind him, last year he was in Livorno, who will have the role over time to facilitate a qualitative leap for the Vigevano team that will work continuously in the gym in the next few days. In the meantime, the dates of the pre-season friendly matches of Elachem Vigevano have been announced.
On 1 September the ducals will face Crema at the Basletta at 19.30, while on 4 September it will be the turn of Vigevano Oleggio always at home at 19. On 8 September the ducals will face Cremona at 19.30 and on 11 September they will play again in front of their own public at 21 against Legnano. Also at the Basletta the Gialloblu will meet Borgomanero on 14 September at 19.30, and at 18 on 3 October they will receive Florence. On 9 October the ducals will play away at 20.30 against Varese and on 17 October at 18 will be the turn of another home match against Borgomanero. –
