Sardinian sprinters in great evidence with Lorenzo Patta from Oristano who makes a great debut as owner of the 100 meters and with the 4×100 relay while in Cagliari, during the absolute Sardinian track championships the Nuorese sprinter Antonio Moro (Delogu) improves for twice the prestigious Sardinian record of 100 meters making first 10 ”33 (+0.6) in the heat and then 10” 28 (+1.8) in the final. It was certainly his best technical result of this first day of the absolute in Cagliari where a series of good races were nevertheless seen.
The European team championship. Excellent results for the Italian team in the team European Championship in Chorzow (Poland), where there were four individual successes and ten overall podiums with Italy in fourth place in the ranking by nations behind Great Britain with 95 points, Poland ( 94.5) and Germany (93.5), while the Azzurri stand at 87, ahead of France (83.5), Spain (81) and Portugal (48.5).
