The event, held on the 4th, saw the Chinese pairs of Chen Xizi and Xing Jianing, Shi Shang and Wu Nan, and Li Xuantong and Wang Xinkang finishing in 12th, 13th, and 16th place, respectively.

Gilles and Poirier, who recently claimed a bronze medal at the 2024 ISU World Figure Skating Grand Prix Finals, scored 214.36 points to secure their first Four Continents gold medal. The podium finishers in the free dance competition, including Gilles and Poirier, showcased a “dark” style in their choreography. Poirier expressed that they typically portray a happy and loving relationship on the ice but appreciated the opportunity to display a different kind of relationship in their routine.

The Chinese ice dance duo Chen Xizi and Xing Jianing, who clinched the National Figure Skating Championships, were placed 12th, and expressed their contentment with their performance, aiming to push for a higher rank in the next competition. Another Chinese pair, Shi Shang and Wu Nan, who secured the 13th position, valued the competition as a true reflection of their training level and expressed determination to continue working hard and improving.
