Kylian Mbappé and Nasser Al Khelaifi argued in PSG’s last game

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappé, and the club’s president, Nasser Al Khelaifi, reportedly had a tense meeting an hour before the team’s last game of the season at the Parc des Princes. According to Le Parisien, Al Khelaifi requested the meeting after realizing Mbappé had omitted him from his list of thanks in a recent video announcing his departure from the club.

The meeting, which took place in a private room at the stadium, was said to have had a heated tone, with the walls reportedly shaking, as per Le Parisien. However, a club spokesperson denied any confrontation, stating that all meetings between the two have been constructive and respectful.

Reportedly, Mbappé and Al-Khelaifi discussed the player’s exit terms, with Mbappé promising to leave some money in the club’s coffers upon his departure. The meeting was said to have delayed PSG’s warm-up before their match against Toulouse, which they ultimately lost.

Relations between Mbappé and Al Khelaifi soured in February when the player informed the club of his decision to leave next season. Despite a temporary agreement to reinstate Mbappé in the first team, tensions resurfaced when Mbappé reaffirmed his departure at the end of the season.

Mbappé still has three games remaining in a PSG shirt, with matches against Nice, Metz, and the French Cup Final against Lyon. The ongoing drama surrounding his departure continues to captivate fans and media alike.
