Forward with Alessandro De Battista on the bench, and this is certainly not new. But the real news is that even the Fiori Barp is thinking about the possibility or not of going up to the Promotion already this summer, playing the repechage card.
While until a few weeks ago the team based in Mas di Sedico seemed oriented to remain in the First Category, perhaps aiming to win it, now it is starting to formulate more ambitious thoughts. On the other hand, if the repechage ranking were really based on the 2019-2020 season, the bluarancio players could be among the main contenders. Perhaps even more so than Alpago and Alpina, both interested in trying this path.
“We need to understand if we are actually entitled to it,” explains President Victor Fant. «It is not enough to say:“ we want ”to be fished out, on the contrary. We must wait for the rules of the Veneto Committee, but it is clear that the proposed criterion concerning the 19-20 year would see us in full swing. We were and are preparing to play a First Category season as protagonists and the Promotion would change some cards on the table. If we are among the fished out candidates, we will make a 360-degree evaluation ».
In the meantime, the marriage with the coach De Battista continues: he will therefore begin his fifth season at Fiori Barp.
«I think the right relationship has been created because everyone has always respected the various roles. There is the right ambition on the part of everyone and at the same time an environment that is never over the top. There was no reason to change ».
Then watch out for the youth sector, which this year as regards the competitive activity was carried out in collaboration with the San Giorgio Sedico. The merger of the big names risks changing the cards on the table.
“We’ll talk about it when they complete the operation. Relations have always been good, we will have to understand what will happen but it is easy to think of the possibility of being able to count on a good number of outgoing young people ».
On the other hand, there is no confirmation on the proposal sent to Yari Masoch of Belluno.
