The former viola died today after a long illness

A few days after the disappearance of Pino Brizitoday he left us Franco Rizzo, another viola tricolor from 1969. The midfielder from Cosenza, born in 1943 in Rovito, he had arrived in Florence from Cagliari in 1968, wearing the lily jersey for two years. In the first season Rizzo was one of the protagonists of the triumph of the second purple championshipwhile the following year he was part of the team that almost reached the semi-finals of the Champions Cup. In the summer of 1970 it was sold to Bologna.
