The deal was found very early. I stay in Vigevano to be able to give my best contribution. Last season was a good season for us, even if we regret the progress of the playoffs »(out in the first round).
A tough group
The thought of Gatti, who is already training in view of the meeting scheduled for August 25, is turned to the challenges of 2021-22. «We know that the next championship will not be easy – he warns – We will have to face a tough group in what will become a“ normal ”season again. There will be more games with excellent teams. It is known that the Tuscans are generally tough opponents, but there are also Lombard formations such as Pavia and Legnano, which can compete for the top places. Among the Piedmontese, then, there is Omegna who is equipped to win, but we must not underestimate both Borgomanero and Alba. I am convinced that there will be no mattress teams ». Even Vigevano with the summer market has been able to reinforce itself with elements that should make it competitive. «Our group has strong outsiders like Procacci and Peroni, but we are well structured even at the level of longs – observes Gatti – even if in a certain sense we have an undersized roster. However, this factor can provide us with advantages. Of this team I like the fact that they have players who are committed above all to the common good, before allowing individualities to prevail. I am convinced that we can develop an excellent team spirit, as happened last season, when we proved to be able to play with everyone ». –
