Advanced geometries, ultra-performance plate and foam components
The HOKA product team created this racing flagship model by integrating advanced geometries, ultra-performance plate technology and foam components while eliminating elements that are not useful for improving the ride. These innovations include a new and extreme rocker profile, the asymmetric Active Foot Frame, a dynamic carbon fiber plate with wings and an aggressive midsole, which come together to create a light, fast, dynamic yet stable ride.
To provide an unprecedented racing experience, the midsole of the Cielo X1 uses a MetaRocker positioned closer to the toe, designed to increase the momentum of the stride, while the improved carbon fiber plate stabilizes the foot at higher speeds, thanks to asymmetric wings that develop medially and laterally. Thanks to the ProFlyX midsole construction, the carbon plate is sandwiched between two layers of resilient PEBA foam to obtain maximum energy return. The softer layer underfoot ensures comfort, while the firmer bottom layer provides a resilient power source, with speed-focused geometries embedded throughout. The rubber sole strategically positioned in the areas of greatest traction guarantees maximum durability and maximum control.
Engineered knit upper
The brand new one Engineered knit upper offers a light and breathable fit, while the asymmetric fabric tongue with gusset allows you to give your best in the race. Weighing 210g for women’s size 8 and 263g for men’s size 10, a 40mm stack and a 7mm drop, the Cielo X1 is approved by World Athletics, the international athletics federation.

Among notable achievements, Northern Arizona Elite team (NAZ) HOKA member Wesley Kiptoo made his distance debut at the Chicago Marathon, crossing the finish line in 2:10:28. Her teammate Kellyn Taylor won the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Jose Half Marathon, qualifying for the 2024 USA Olympics Marathon Trials, in 1:11:40, while teammate Alice Wright placed third place.
