For many volleyball players the holidays are winding down, for others they are a distant memory, for some a pleasant reality. The panthers of Imoco Conegliano enter all these categories: from Monday with the meeting in San Vendemiano at 16.30 Wolosz, De Kruijf (who have renounced the European Championship with Poland and the Netherlands), Gennari, Caravello and the fresh champions of the Under 19 world Omoruyi and Frosini. They will later join Folie, who, as he announced immediately after the victory in the Champions League, took a week’s vacation at the beach with her boyfriend: “I wish my teammates a big good luck for the European Championship – he wrote on Instagram -. After 13 consecutive months of activity, the time has come for me for a week of relaxation before returning to Conegliano to carry out targeted work for my body to face a season full of very important goals ». Plummer will arrive from the US, who could play Norceca with the national team, and Courtney, new bride at the end of the month; hopefully as later as possible it will be up to Egonu, Sylla, De Gennaro and Fahr, committed to the European Championships with Italy, together with Croatia of Butigan and coach Santarelli. The blue will make their debut in Zadar on the 20th against Belarus, then facing Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia and Switzerland; the first four move on to the second round to be played in Serbia. Meanwhile, the A1 championship is at the starting blocks, back to 14 teams with the promotion of Rome and Vallefoglia: tomorrow the calendar will be issued, with the regular season from 9 October to early April. The playoffs will be the best of three games for quarter and semifinals, out of five games the final; the Final Four of the Italian Cup will be at the end of February (first round in a single match in January). The season will open on Saturday 2 October with the Italian Super Cup and the eternal Conegliano-Novara challenge. The Imoco will also have the Club World Cup from 14 to 19 December in Istanbul, in addition to the defense of the Champions League: group draw on 24 September, matches on 24 November, 8 and 22 December, 19 January, 2 and 15 February, with possible variations of one day, with the exception of the last date. At the moment there are three dates in September for the friendlies: 11 against Montecchio in San Donà, 17 in Bologna against an A1 team, on 25 the quadrangular of Imola with Monza, Scandicci and Florence. –
