Washington, May 2, 2022 – Manhunt in Alabama. The US police are looking for Casey Whiteand inmate escaped from a penitentiary, and of Vicky Whitea prison guard disappeared with him. Although they share the same surname, the couple are not related. They were last seen Friday morning: the policewoman sThis led to a mental assessment, which later turned out to be unscheduled. The story recalls what happened in New York State seven years ago when a prison guard fell in love with an inmate and then helped him and a cellmate escape from prison. The story also inspired a TV series, Escape at Dannemora, with Benicio Del Toro and Patricia Arquette. In this case, however, it is not yet known whether the officer and the detainee had a personal relationship.
According to CNN Casey White was serving a 75-year prison sentence for a series of crimes committed in Limestone County in 2015. In 2020, he had already planned to take a person hostage and flee, but his plan was exposed. From then on he had to be accompanied by two officers at all times for security reasons; a rule that was broken on the day of the escape. According to Sheriff Singleton Vicky White is an exceptional agent who has been in the department for two decades and everyone has a great deal of respect for her. It is not clear why she would have violated the protocol.
The hunt continues, for now with no news on the two fugitives. One has also been established reward until $ 10,000 for any useful information.
