Inter are flying towards the Scudetto. Not even Atalanta manages to stop the ride of Simone Inzaghi’s men: at San Siro in injury time on the twenty-first matchday it ends with a clear 4-0, thanks to goals from Darmian, Lautaro, Dimarco and Frattesi. Four goals for three points which allow Inter to fly to +12 in the standings over Juventus, with twelve matches remaining: the mathematical certainty of the second star is missing 25 points for the Nerazzurri, but they will probably need fewer. A war machine, the one created by Inzaghi, and the numbers are perhaps not even enough to describe how Inter are killing this championship. Eleven victories in a row at the start of 2024fourth match in a row with four goals scored in Serie A (67 goals scored in total, record among the top tournaments in Europe) but also the seventeenth in the league without conceding a goal, with a record goal difference of +55, in addition to having scored 69 points in 26 days, never so many in Inter history after 26 rounds.

Total domination, with Lautaro (with goal number 24 in the championship, continuing Higuain’s and Immobile’s run at 36) and his teammates who are now starting to glimpse the finish line banner on the horizon. The cold goal definitively shuts down Atalanta and the rest of the match turns into little more than training for Inzaghi’s team, with the icing on the cake of Frattesi’s header (who gets injured at the moment of the goal, adductor contracture right foot to be evaluated) for the final 4-0. The finale runs away among the olè of the 71 thousand of San Siro, who at the end of the match celebrate with the chorus of “the league leaders are leaving”: the second star is ever closer.
