Still great and deserved satisfactions for the Ivrea canoa club that in Flattach, Austria, conquers prestigious placings in the Eca slalom Junior cup. On the first day of competitions, Saturday 3 July, the best result achieved is the gold medal won by Ludovico Cuignon in K1 Under 23 in an all-Ivory podium completed by Lorenzo Gregotti’s silver and Filippo Caserio’s bronze. Another bronze medal won this time in K1 Under 14 by Nicola Pistoni who once again demonstrates his splendid moment of form.
Finally silver for Nicolò Balma in C1 Under 18.
Sunday 4 July second day of competitions with the Ivrea canoe club athletes still protagonists of performances of absolute excellence in K1 Under 23 the highest step of the podium was occupied by Lorenzo Gregotti who was right by his teammates Filippo Caserio, silver, and Ludovico Cuignon, bronze.
In K1 under 14 Nicola Pistoni confirms himself in excellent shape, winning the silver, missing the top step of the podium only because of a two-point penalty. With the results achieved in the two days Nicola Pistoni still wins the Eca stage of Flattach. Podium also for Matteo Ghirardo in K1 Under 18 with an excellent and deserved third place.
Also noteworthy is the fourth place of Michele Pistoni in K1 Under 16 who, with an exceptional time but seasoned with too many penalties, must stop at the foot of the podium; finally confirmed in second place in the C1 Under 18 Nicolò Balma. A trip to be framed for podiums that speak Ivrea. –
